Entropist (Sam Shafer) is a music producer, sound designer, live performer, and visual artist located in Bellingham, Wa. Driven by a sence of curiousity and exlporation, Entropist creates soundscapes that hold no boundaries. Drawing on a variety of styles of music including ambient, downtempo, glitch, bass music, jazz, and rock, Entropist strives to create based on experimentation and fun.

the blending of organic and digital
In my work, I tend to unite the organic and the digital worlds by utilizing sounds from nature and altering them within a digital space. I am immensely inspired and humbled by the vast and mysterious nature of this world, which is another concept that inspires my exploration of sound.
